This is how the Bali I saw , One thing I can say for sure whatever I was seeing , camera was not able to give its 10% , so you can think how beautiful Bali is.
I am Anshul Agarwal , I work in IT company My main purpose of writing this blog is I can tell you guys how affordable Bali is , how it looks , some facts about Bali , so that it can be easy for you to plan accordingly , I am hoping that this Budget Guide , Bali Travel Itinerary and all of these photos / article will help you plan your trip much easier. I will tell you best places to go in Bali.
It is known as the “islands of the God” , and I know it will be a trip / experience that you will never forget , it is known as a very romantic and honeymoon type of destination , the budget travel options are incredible! (To See Budget Info, you can go to the bottom of blog)
I have planned Bali for total 5 nights and 6 days, my trip starts from 27th August 2018 11:15 PM and I return to Delhi on 2nd September 2018 9:30 PM , very Important VISA for Bali is FREE 😀 . I took Air Asia flights that was hand baggage only.( Beware water is not free in AirAsia), I purchased 500 ml water bottle in 100 Indian Rupee. Weather was very pleasant in Bali. I took some USD and INR with me , I realize when I convert Indian Rupee I got conversion of 172 IDR (of 1 INR)and when later on I cashed out money from ATM , there I got conversion of 184 IDR (of 1 INR) so you know now what to do 🙂 ?
Bali Itinerary Day Wise
Day 1
Bali is a great place to party , relax at the beach and watch the sunset every night. Its a massive large stretch of beaches with areas like Kuta beach , Legian Beach and seminyak Beach , We stayed at Citadine Kuta beach bali for 3 nights from 28th August 2018 to 30th August 2018.
Below are our pics , you can google it or check in website for more cool pics 🙂
After we took rest , went out to talk to local folks and shops , to plan our next 5 days and we had dinner , Just to inform bali is not best place for vegetarian people , so guys please take some ready to eat with you , as we took alot with us, so dint face much problem. And our Day finishes with this.
Day 2
We planned to go to Nusa Penida (Small Island near to Bali), car come to pick up us at around 6 : 30 AM in the morning and we went to place called Sanur from where we need to catch speed boat.
And then we arrived Nusa penida , from where again there was a car waiting for us to go to broken beach , klingking beach and crystal bay beach , these places were amazing.
Broken Beach
Klinking beach
And it was so Aesthetically Pleasing that I cannot describe in words , we felt just to stay there and see beautiful blue sea 🙂 , then we went crystal bay beach and we did snorkelling and finally our car dropped us to ferry place. (Disclaimer Roads were horrible). And our Day 2 finishes.
Day 3
We started our day with light breakfast and awesome view of beach :-
we hired taxi , he pick up us at around 8 : 30 AM , we went to see bali traditional barong dance , play was based on Devi KUNTI (Mahabharta character).
BARONG DANCE
Then we moved towards ubud and arrived to see famous Batuan Temple.
BATUAN TEMPLE
Then we moved towards Coffee Plantation , among various Coffee , Luwak coffee is famous in Bali , it is made from poo done by animal Luwak. Also in that place famous big swings are there which are worth , must do thing. (Below is the google pic , but I witness same , view was serene and beautiful)
UBUD
In UBUD you must plan shopping as well , cheap and items are worth to purchase , to gift someone. and then we headed towards famous Mount Batur Volcano in Kintamani.
KINTAMANI
And then after completing above we went to famous Nungnung waterfall.
NUNGNUNG
and then last spot of our day that was Bali zoo I would recommend you must go (Atleast if you are from India) , we had dinner with elephant program, in zoo deers were free and there was no cage for them.
BALI ZOO
after spent time in zoo there was famous kecak dance performance for guests , dance actually depicts Hindu Mythology Lanka Kaand of Ramayana.
After dinner our driver drop us to hotel and time was 10 PM , so driver was with us for more than 13 hours and he dint asked for extra money , he was very friendly and cool !! And with this Day 3 finishes and next day we need to check out from hotel and check in to our new destination i.e. Nusa Dua.
Day 4
We check out from Hotel and same driver come to pick us .We moved from Kutta , saw Legian roads then Seminyak square and then we stopped at Canggu beach , awesome spectacular view I can say.
CANGGU
After spend some quality time here , we moved to our next destination and that was famous Tanah lot (and here at this place I don’t know how my India SIM connect to network 😀 ). I want to inform you Tanah Lot is in north of Bali and after this place we went to south of Bali that was Ulluwatu to see the famous sunset of that place and from ulluwatu our hotel in Nusa Dua was also close by.
TANAH LOT
Enroute to Ulluwatu we came to know there is famous Garuda Vishnu Temple so we stopped there as well and we dont want to miss anything in bali :D.
After completing this we moved to our planned destination Ulluwatu! The Coastline is Amazing , food is delicious , and the sunset is unbelievably gorgeous.
ULLUWATU
then around 10 PM we come to our hotel and now we need to say good bye to our cool Driver (Mr. Nanga) and need to check in our hotel in Nusa Dua , that was SADARA Boutique Beach and Day 4 also end . You can chech more cool pics of resort from there official website.
Day 5
Day Starts with New Hotel and view was superb.
Then we thought to do some water sports and we got deal of 6,50,000 IDR for 2 person. Very Important there is lot of bargaining possibility in water sports , they will start with with price 12,00,000 IDR for same water sports and I finally brought them to 6,50,000 IDR. So Be prepared for that skill :D. Below are water sports we did.
- ParaSailing
- Donut
- flylfish
- banana ride
After water sports , we have some quality time in pool and then went out for lunch and some foot massage.
There were many Indian restaurant name ODelhi , after having lunch we went to Nusa Dua beach , Bali collection and pandawa Beach.
PANDAWAN BEACH
With this Day 5 also ends.
Day 6
Now we need to checkout from hotel and fly back to India.
Lifetime memories of Bali :).
BALI BUDGET & TIPS
FLIGHTS
I started from Delhi , it costs me 720$ usd (INR 52,000)
So whenever people ask me questions about money / budget, I always respond that it’s always different depending on the person. Are you planning on drinking and going out a lot? Are there any expensive tours you have your eye on?
The truth is – you can Bali on a budget pretty easily!
ACCOMODATION
- Kuta stay for 3 nights costs me 180$ usd (INR 13,000)
- Nusa Dua stay for 2 nights costs me 138$ usd (INR 10,000)
FOOD & DRINKS (MISCELLANEOUS PURCHASES)
- Moto rentals will cost around $6-7 U.S.D per day.
- SIM card will be about $17.
- Lunch and dinner costs extra as breakfast might will be free in your hotel. If you are Non-Veg then you can eat the local food, you can find meals for ridiculously cheap (like $1)! But there’s also plenty of expensive Western restaurants.

- Water Sports 44$ usd (INR 3100) for 2 person.
- Airport Transfer 22$ usd (INR 1600).
